Badeni must choose between revealing the location of the heretical documents on heliocentric theory or prolonging Oczy’s torture at Nowak’s hands.

Nowak believes his beloved daughter has been executed as a heretic. Father Grabowski comes across a letter from Badeni containing an unusual request.
